SDHC Tidak Terbaca

Hari ini main ke ITC Fatmawati. Pulang bawa sekeping SDHC merk V-Gen 4 GB. SDHC ini aku pake buat kamera digital. Setelah coba mengambil beberapa gambar dengan kamera digital, akhirnya SDHC aku lepas dari kamera trus aku masukkan ke slot SD Card yang ada di Laptop. Laptopnya adalah Toshiba Portege M500. Slot SD Card ada di samping kanan laptop, tepat diatas DVD-RW.

Setelah ditancepin ke slotnya, trus buka Windows Explorer kok ternyata setelah ditunggu beberapa lama kok ga muncul drive baru di Windows Explorer. Oke akhirnya, aku copot lagi trus di tancepin lagi, masih sama juga, tidak terbaca. Padahal jelas tadi abis buat foto di kamera digital jelas bisa terbaca. Kemudian coba dimasukin lagi ke kamera, masih ada gambar hasil jepretan tadi. So, kenapa ga mau kebaca di laptop?

Oke, pertama aku curiga SDHC ga kompatibel ma SD Card. Kalo baca di sini :

  • Devices that do not specifically support SDHC do not recognize SDHC memory cards.
  • Some manufacturers have produced 4 GB SD cards that conform to neither the SD2.0/SDHC spec nor existing SD devices.
  • File System: SD cards are typically formatted with the FAT16 file system, while SDHC cards are typically formatted as FAT32. However, both types of cards can support other general-purpose filesystems, such as UFS2/ext2 for example.

Well, ternyata isu ketidak kompatibelan ini tidak berlaku umum. Trus coba konsultasi lagi ama pak dhe Google, akhirnya ketemu ini:

Akhirnya aku coba download hotfix ini trus diinstall. Kemudian restart deh.. Abis restart coba aku colokin lagi SDHC. Tada…! Munculah drive G: kepunyaan SDHC.

    aku juga punya pengalaman yang sama so minta tolong dong dimana downloadnya hotfix itu dan gimana cara installnya … ma kasih buanget

    Setahuku SDHC adalah versi baru dari SD Card. So ada kemungkinan masalah kompatibilitas disini. Saranku, mungkin perlu dipastikan tape mobilmu emang bisa baca kartu SDHC..

    Mo nanya nih, kasus ini juga aku alami, kemaren beli SD 4 GB Vgen tidak terdeteksi sama sekali di M500, niatnya sih buat di mobil. Aku udah isi pake card reader lain, trus di mobil juga tidak terdeteksi (pesan error – Card Error) pada Tape Doble Din-nya… Gimana ya…?
